Huntley 158 has named Mike Naymola as the new head football coach at Huntley High School, effective pending Board of Education approval. Naymola is currently a physical education teacher at Huntley High School and serves as an assistant football coach and track & field coach. He has coached and taught in the District for the past 10 years.
Before coming to Huntley 158 during the 2011-2012 school year, Naymola gained experience as an assistant football coach in District 214 at Rolling Meadows High School. During his seven year tenure in District 214, he also served as the head girls track coach. Now, in Huntley 158, Naymola’s experience in the classroom teaching strength & conditioning courses as a member of the physical education department helps solidify the relationships he is able to make with students and athletes alike.
“Building relationships is at the core of what we do best at Huntley High School and across the District,” said Superintendent Scott Rowe, Ed.D. “We are confident that Mr. Naymola has the connection to our students and community, coupled with his vast knowledge and experience in our football program, to elevate the experience of our athletes and reaffirm the program’s success.”
Naymola says he is most looking forward to propelling the team’s reputation as a competitive and respected program forward. He expressed excitement to work with a dedicated and talented staff to continue to enhance the success of the players, as well as their experience as well-rounded students and teammates.
“I want students to cherish and love their time spent playing football at Huntley High School,” said Naymola. “My goal is for our athletes to look back on their time in the Red Raider football program as an experience that shaped them and enhanced their high school career.”
Naymola’s wife, Karen Naymola, is also a member of the Huntley 158 staff and has served as a physical education teacher and head volleyball coach at Huntley High School for 10 years. They reside in Huntley, IL with their three daughters who all attend Huntley 158 schools. Naymola is a passionate member of the community and excited to further cement his impact in a district that serves his own family, as well as students across the community.
